99% of my time is spent in an office.  One of the real benefits of empirical science is occasionally getting out of the chair.  Eventually I'm going to chronicle some of my field experience here, but suffice to say I've done a lot of it.  Mostly deploying and recovering instrumentation along the coast, near-shore, or at sea (and under :). 

I'm also incredibly "handy".
